Our story
It started in Calabar.
Mau Creative Hub was founded in 2023 in Calabar, Nigeria, on a simple conviction: world-class creative and tech talent can be built anywhere. Three years later we train individuals across four regions, serve businesses and brands, carry laptops into rural classrooms, and our community work won the Young Pioneer category at the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards 2026.

2023
Founded in Calabar
The first training space opens in Calabar, Cross River State, and the first cohort of learners walks through the door.

Studio services and summer camps
Design and digital services launch for local businesses, and the first Summer Tech Camp brings kids into the hub.

Partnerships and going online-first
Live online cohorts open beyond Nigeria, and partnerships with FOSPI and Women Graduates-USA bring girls into professional design training.

Rural outreach and global recognition
Four rural schools reached, including hundreds of students in Akpabuyo, and Mau Creative Hub won the Young Pioneer category at the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards 2026, hosted by IBM in London.
